Junior Premier

The Junior Premier Competition is on Monday nights, and caters for students in Years 5-8. 

Intermediate Premier

The Intermediate Premier Competition is on Wednesday nights, and caters for students in Years 9-10.

Senior Premier

The Senior Premier Competition is on Thursday nights, and caters for students in Years 11-12. 

Adjudicating and Coaching

The ACTDU rely on a number of post-high school individuals to adjudicate and coach students in our competitions. This is ideal for university students with an interest in debating, but open to anybody with a passion for working with students and teaching debating. ACTDU offers flexible reimbursed positions to suit your needs. ​

We have adjudicating opportunities for all three of our competitions. We also have coaching positions available. All ACTDU volunteers must have a Working With Vulnerable People Card.

National Schools Debating Championships

ACTDU are also responsible for the selection and training of the Territory representative team which competes annually at the National Schools Debating Championships (NSDC).
